While money and finance play a central role in people's lives, the philosophical dimension of money and finance are often overlooked. DeMonetize aims to fill this gap by exploring the complexity of money and finance through a philosophical lens. Our posts offer deep, thought-provoking insights and contributions, while making financial and philosophical ideas relevant and accessible.

About Me

I have decided to remain anonymous, at least for now, since I currently work at a FinTech company in the payments space. Prior to my current role, I worked at a renown Digital Assets/Crypto company; within the Private Markets team at a large financial information and technology corporation; and on the trading desk at a small bank.

As for my academic background, I have a Master of Science in Finance, during which I conducted an independent study on the philosophy of money and ethics in finance. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, during which I took multiple philosophy classes.

Additionally, I have passed the CFA level I exam (I do not plan on pursuing level II and III), and I hold a Certificate in ESG Investing (now called Sustainable Investing Certificate) from the CFA Institute.
